ACE opened for business in November 1993 to provide inspection services to Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Companies in the UK and since then has spread to include Leasing Companies, Finance Houses and Legal Advisors. We have completed approximately 100’000 inspections in the last 6 years. We are one of the leading Independent Consulting Motor Engineers in the UK dealing with most, if not all, vehicle examination needs and requirements. We have engineering consultancy resources across the UK and our services include general and specific types of examinations on cars and commercial vehicles. We provide a one-stop facility for our Clients for information and guidance.

 

You have our Word Our total aim and commitment of our service is to provide a second-to none inspection service throughout the UK and to work with the highest levels of integrity and honesty. When we refer to ‘’We’’ or ‘’Our’’ or ACE, we are referring to Automotive Consulting Engineers Limited.

 

What information do ACE collect? We collect information from you when you place an order or fill out a form. When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or vehicle details including fault and inspection location. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

 

What do ACE use your information for? Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways: - To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs) - To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you) - To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs) - To process transactions Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested. - To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature - To send periodic emails The email address you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information, etc.

 

How does ACE protect your information? We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, financials, etc.) will not be kept on file for more than 60 days.

 

Do ACE disclose any information to outside parties? We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. Offensive or inappropriate content on ACE website. Third party links. Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

 

What if I am a user aged 16 or under? If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian’s permission before you provide any personal information to ACE. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.

 

Can I find out what personal information ACE holds about me? Under the Data Protection ACE, you have the right to request a copy of the personal information ACE holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. (We charge £10 for information requests and require you to prove your identified with 2 pieces of approved identifications). We will use reasonable efforts to supply, correct or delete personal information about you on our files. What if I am accessing ACE websites outside the UK? ACE website is published in the UK by ace-uk.org and is accessible outside of the UK. All personal information submitted by users outside the UK to ace-uk.org will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

 

Cookies Policy – Information ACE collects from you. a. What is a cookie? Do not Track (DNT) browser setting.
